Dr. Jane Murray Gilmore and Michael D. Gilmore, Esq. announce the marriage of their son, Michael David Gilmore, Jr. to the former, Michelle Paulette Carey, on Saturday, July 17, 2010. The wedding and reception was held in Collingdale, PA (A suburb of Philadelphia). The couple will reside in the Mt. Airy section of Philadelphia.

Homegoing Service for Mark A. Johnson

Dear Family, I am sure you know by now about the passing of our beloved family member, Mark Johnson. His body can be viewed at Thomasson-Watson Furneral Home in Louisa, Virginia. His Wake is Friday, 7/16/10 - from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the furneral home.



The Furneral will be Saturday, 7/17/10 at Laurel Hill Baptist Church, Mineral, Virginia. 7652 Kentucky Springs Road, Mineral, VA 23117. Please keep us lifted up in your prayers.

Need to know - Who will attend on Friday, July 23

The Food Committee would like to have a count of how many people will attend the Family Reunion Events on Friday Night, July 23. Friday Events which will be held at the Harrison Road Community Center (4728 Harrison Road, Fredericksburg, Virginia 22408), will include a "Meet and Greet", "Fashion Show", and "Dance".

There is no charge to attend this event!!!!!!!!

Everett and Candace Foxx, of Chesterfield, Virginia, celebrated the graduation of their oldest child Everett (EJ) Foxx, Jr. He took the long exciting walk on June 10, from Lloyd C. Byrd High School.

Alonzo and Cheryl Hart announce the graduation of their baby boy, Alonzo David Hart III, from Largo High School, (Largo, Maryland) on Tuesday, June 1, 2010.

The Last to leave the NEST

Garrett and Clara Johnson announce the graduation of their daughter, Nya Johnson, from Courtland High School, (Spotsylvania, Virginia) on June 12, 2010.

Danielle Johnson, granddaughter of Lenwood and Daphne Johnson, and daughter of Daniel and Daphne J. Johnson, celebrated her graduation from Virginia Union University on Saturday, May 8. She will be pursuing a career in Social Work.

Shannon Mosby, and her AAU Basketball team competed in a tournament in North Carolina. They had a chance to meet with the Womens' Basketball coach at the University of North Carolina. See her slide show below. She is number 23. Pictures also includes: sister: Kierstin, and brother: Jonathan

Jozilynn "MaMa" Woolfolk was born March 24, 2010, and passed away in the arms of her parents on Thursday, April 8, 2010. She is survived by her parents T. Jamaal and Rhonda Woolfolk; her big brother, T. Jahron Woolfolk; her grandparents, Dorothea Woolfolk, and Micklos and Adell Fisher; great-grandparents Percy and Dorothy Woolfolk,Virginia Waller, Walter Fisher Sr. and Yvonne Waller; and a host of aunts,uncles, cousins, great-aunts, great-uncles, friends and family friends.



A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 14 at the homeof Percy and Dorothy Woolfolk, 8700 Granite Springs Road, Spotsylvania, Va.22551.

Our Prayers for Jane

Cousin Jane Gilmore recently had surgery on her rotator cuff and biceps tendons. She has had a lot of pain and is requesting our prayers. We wish her a speedy recovery, and hope by reunion time she will be back to normal.

Hey everyone,



Sorry that I couldn't call each and every one of you, but I wanted to let you know that over the weekend Patricia and I got ENGAGED!!! It was an exciting day filled with a scavenger hunt, a picnic at our favorite place by the river, of course an engagement, and dinner with my parents that night. We are soooo excited and cant wait to see all of you!! Ive attached a couple pictures that a very awesome by-stander/photographer took of everything.

Special Announcements:

Rochelle Webster, daughter of Alonzo & Cheryl Hart, granddaughter of, Julia Johnson, and great granddaughter of Stephen and Nannie Wright, is pleased to announce the dedication of her daughter, Denise, on Sunday March 28th during the morning worship service at 11am at the Salem Baptist Church.



Our cousin Carolyn Tyler has written a skit "Fishers of Men", which will be performed at 4:00 p.m. on April 18, at Zion Hill Baptist Church, 10411 Cooktown Road, Spotsylvania, Virginia



Desirae Dickerson will be receiving her Masters Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on Human Resources, from Liberty University on May 10, 2010.



Desirae will also be getting married in August. (a copy of the announcement will be posted later)



Jamires & Jocqulene Poindexter are expecting a baby in July. (grandbaby of Frank & Willie Dickerson)



Danielle Johnson will graduate from Virginia Union University, on May 8, 2010, with a BS degree in Social Work.

Great Turn Out

Our third meeting for the Wright Family Reunion was a hugh success. The minutes will be included soon. Next meeting date will be on April 24 at Denny's on Jefferson Davis Hwy. (This is Rt. 1) See photos to the right.
